Trionfo di Gotye, Black Keys e Fun ai Grammy

Nella 55.ma edizione degli Oscar della musica un nuovo premio per Adele

Sono stati assegnati qualche giorno fa i Grammy Awards a Los Angeles. Gli Oscar della musica quest’anno sono stati molto equilibrati e non hanno visto un artista spiccare in modo evidente sugli altri. Solo in campo rock c’è stato un dominio assoluto, quello dei Black Keys con tre Grammy.

Il premio come miglior album “alternative” e come miglior duo pop è andato a Gotye per la canzone “Somebody I Used To Know”, ma come album dell’anno è stato eletto “Babel” dei Mumford & Sons.

Altri protagonisti di questa 55.ma edizione sono stati i Fun, che si sono accaparrati ben due premi: come rivelazione dell’anno e per la miglior canzone (“We are young”).

Presente anche la sexy Rihanna con Chris Brown e poi sempre Rihanna con Sting, Bruno Mars , Ziggy e Damian Marley insieme per omaggiare la musica reggae e il mitico Bob Marley. Omaggio anche a Carole King da parte di Kelly Clarkson, cantando “Natural Woman”.
Ambientazione stile anni ’50 per Justin Timberlake perfetta per presentare insieme a Jay-Z il nuovo singolo “Suit & Tie”.
Ma il premio più importante è stato assegnato ad Adele, che per “best pop solo performance” ha ricevuto il grammofonino ed è così diventata la seconda artista della storia, dopo Barbra Streisand, a vincere un Grammy in due edizioni consecutive.

Best rock performance: “Lonely Boy”, Black Keys
Best hard rock/metal performance: “Love Bites (So Do I)”, Halestorm
